What is TEDx?
In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxHang Dong Youth, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxHang Dong Youth event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
Our Team
Hello, TED! We are a team of dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, and collaborative high school students. Our team consists of Adriana, our President; Ameila, our Public Relations VP; Julie, our Marketing VP; Kenny, our IT VP; and Asher, our Finance VP. While we are all Chinese, we are each incredibly unique. We come from different families, have different beliefs, personalities, interests, and have very different futures ahead of us. This diversity fuels our goal of bringing a diverse TEDx experience to Hang Dong.

Currently, we all attend schools here in Chiangmai, Thailand, four of us at Nakornpayap International School (NIS) and one at Varee Chiangmai International School (VCIS). Although some of us have been in Chiangmai for over seven years, for others, this city is a newer home. Together, we aim to use our youthful energy and passion to make Chiangmai a better place through our TEDxYouth event!
